(TITC) - On February 27, 2022, conference on “Nghe An tourism stimulus 2022” took place in Dien Chau District, Nghe An Province. Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Mr. Bui Dinh Long, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee chair the conference.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Bui Dinh Long said that it is gold time to reopen Nghe An tourism and enhance tourism promotion. In recently, Nghe An tourism has focused on preparing for re-investment, renewing tourism products, recruiting and attracting human resources, inspecting and evaluating the quality of services. Along with that, 100% of employees in the tourism and service industries have been vaccinated. Nghe An Province is ready to welcome domestic and international tourists.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh highly appreciates new tourism products in West of Nghe An Province, meeting the diverse needs of tourists and in line with the current tourism development orientation.
He informed that Vietnam is the 6th country in the world in terms of vaccine coverage. Tourism is one of the top priority sectors in the economic recovery process. By the end of 2021, Vietnam welcomed 3,800 international tourists. In Lunar New Year holiday, there were 6.1 million domestic tourists.
“This is a clear proof that although tourism is an industry heavily affected by the pandemic. It is also an industry that recovers quickly if it seizes opportunities and is prepared with facilities and resources" emphasized the VNAT’s Chairman.
Overview of conference
In this context, conference on “Nghe An tourism stimulus 2022” distributes to restoring tourism in the North Central Region, as well as Vietnam tourism.
At the conference, Nghe An Province introduced and promoted spring and summer tourism products in 2022; introduced the tourism portal and smart tourism application of the province and programs and policies to stimulate tourism in 2022. UNESCO Hanoi travel club launched the Program "Return to the North Central Region 2022" and announced the caravan tour "Discovering the western route of Nghe An".

Program "Return to the North Central Region 2022" includes 4 localities: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh with the following contents: (1) Tours to each province: businesses build programs associated with highlights of each province to exploit, promote and selling; (2) Tours linking 4 localities 1 destination including: - Tours to experience cultural heritage sites combined with beach resorts in spring and summer; - The DMZ tours combines eco-tourism, community and adventure tourism in autumn and winter; - Caravan tours along the Ho Chi Minh road east and west branches through the provinces.
