In order to carry out the activities of welcoming international tourists, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has proposed the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to issue Document No. 4122/HD-BVHTTDL on November 5 on provisional guidance for piloting to welcome international tourists to Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh informed that VNAT has focused on implementing promotion plan to welcome international tourists with the theme “Live Fully in Vietnam” and communication activities on its website www.vietnam.travel and its social media channels; working with Vietnam's diplomatic missions abroad to inform the pilot plan to reopen tourism; deploying advertising and communication campaigns on a number of major international media channels such as CNN, CNBC...
VNAT always prioritizes ensuring safety in pandemic prevention, safely reopening step by step, readiness in scheme and quickly handling with the involvement of all stakeholders.
Responding to the pilot plan to welcome international tourists, such localities as Kien Giang, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa... and many tourism businesses including Vietravel, Fiditour, etc. have planned actively and specifically for ensuring safe travel. Especially, selected destinations in the pilot plan have focused on accelerating vaccination scheme, checking and selecting tourism facilities and providers to serve tourists.
Quang Nam Province has selected Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, Hoiana Complex Resort, TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An Resort, Vinpearl Resort & Golf Nam Hoi An, VinWonders Nam Hoi An and a number of transportation and travel agencies in the province to welcome international tourists.
In the first phase, Khanh Hoa Province has chosen Bai Dai area to welcome international tourists. The list of hotels and resorts has been posted on the website of Khanh Hoa Tourism Promotion Information Center. For the 2nd phase, Khanh Hoa Tourism Department is continuing to check more accommodation facilities in isolated areas to be ready for welcoming international tourists.
Kien Giang Province is scheduled to hold a ceremony on November 20, at Phu Quoc International Airport to welcome the first international flight carrying 250 Korean tourists to the beautiful island city of Phu Quoc.
