Among the top 25 airlines, Vietnam Airlines ranked 11th. AirlineRatings' main ranking criteria include: safety and product rating, fleet age, profitability, serious incidents, passenger reviews from several sources, innovation and forward fleet orders.

Vietnam Airlines is recognized in the top 25 thanks its efforts to improve service quality in recent times. Currently, Vietnam Airlines is the first and only airline in Vietnam to achieve the title of "5-star international airline" according to APEX.
The National Airlines affirms its outstanding service quality through its fleet advantages; punctuality index; ground and air services; Vietnamese cultural identity and human factors. With the message "Thousand miles of care", Vietnam Airlines owns a modern fleet of aircraft including wide-body aircraft Boeing 787-10, Boeing 787-9, Airbus A350, providing passengers with a spacious and comfortable flying experience.
For onboard services, passengers can enjoy amenities with a diverse entertainment portfolio, attractive dishes and a style imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity. At the same time, Vietnam Airlines continuously improves the quality of ground services, such as applying digital technology to procedures or diversifying services for special passengers. Vietnam Airlines flights are among the top 5 most punctual in the Asia-Pacific region according to statistics from international aviation data analysis company Cirium.
Remarkably, the satisfaction index of domestic and foreign passengers for Vietnam Airlines in 2023 all exceeded the target. The total number of letters of praise last year reached more than 9,100 letters, an increase of 30% compared to the same period.
Previously, AirlineRatings honoured Vietnam Airlines as one of the “World's best airlines in terms of safety and service quality in 2023” and “The best value airline with Premium Economy Class of 2024” based on factors of safety, fleet, comfort and economic value.
