(TITC) - Vietnam is safe and reopens to international tourists, the message that Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) proposed Vietnamese ambassadors to spread, VNAT’s Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh said at the meeting on November 16 with the newly appointed heads of overseas Vietnamese representative missions in 2021.

Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh said that in the past two years, Vietnam tourism has been delayed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Vietnam still received prestigious awards such as World's Leading Heritage Destination 2019, 2020; World's Best Golf Destination 2019, 2021; Asia's Leading Destination 2019, 2021; Asia's Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination 2021; Asia's Leading Cultural Destination 2019, 2020; Asia's Leading Culinary Destination 2019, 2020... Besides, a series of accommodation, travel, aviation, entertainment also were honored by World Travel Awards. These awards affirm the brand and high competitiveness of Vietnam tourism.
VNAT is implementing pilot plan to reopen international tourism with the message "Live fully in Vietnam" under 3 phases starting from the end of November 2021. VNAT wishes the new Vietnamese ambassadors accompany in negotiations for the vaccines passports recognition, simplifying visa procedures to facilitate Vietnamese people, exchanging tourism statistics and market information, supporting to organize training programs, supporting famtrips and tourism promotion activities associated with political - diplomatic - economic events.
Now, VNAT is focusing on key markets and some potential new markets, namely India, the Middle East, developing strong tourism products such as beach resort tourism, cultural tourism, city tourism, MICE tourism...

Speaking at the meeting, new Vietnamese ambassadors affirmed that they will accompany with VNAT in promoting Vietnam values to international friends.
In order to enhance promotion, the ambassadors suggested that VNAT provides beautiful images, videos, leaflets, and Vietnam tourism brochures as well as pays attention to research specific market segments with the differences of foods, culture, and customs in each country.
