(TITC) - On 25th March, in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) and Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee organised the Opening Ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year 2023 with the theme “Binh Thuan - Green tourism comes together”.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Doan Anh Dung, Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee said, from a wild and arid coastline, Binh Thuan now has a complete tourist infrastructure system with various resorts and beautiful beaches, close to nature, and has been recognised by many prestigious magazines voting as the top ideal and attractive destination of Vietnam and the region.
The Visit Vietnam Year 2023 “Binh Thuan - Green tourism comes together” with more than 200 unique national and international cultural, sports and tourism activities and events will take place throughout the year 2023 in Binh Thuan Province and 41 provinces and cities across the country. Thereby, introduce and promote tangible and intangible cultural values, unique tourism products of Vietnam. At the same time, the event contributes to spread a message worldwide about Binh Thuan, which prioritises green, sustainable and friendly development, a region that is well blended between the past and the modern, between nature and people, the convergence of many colourful cultures.
Binh Thuan will surely leave unforgettable remarks about a land rich in cultural identity, diverse in natural landscapes, friendly, warm and hospitable people. Visitors to Binh Thuan will be immersed in the charming scenery of Mui Ne with the unique and pristine features of Co Thach beach, Cu Lao Cau, Phu Quy island looming beside beautiful and peaceful fishing villages; admire the ancient and sacred Poshanu tower complex.
Welcoming the Visit Vietnam Year 2023, Binh Thuan Province put efforts to attract investments to upgrade the transport, tourism, service, hotel and resort infrastructures to be furbished, fully integrated with high-class facilities to best prepare for this important event. Mr. Doan Anh Dung hopes that Binh Thuan will leave a beautiful impression in worldwide visitors and friends’ hearts.

Addressing the Ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang said, the Opening Ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year 2023 is an important event, acting as the reply to the 3rd National Conference on Tourism chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on 15th March.
The Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam tourism has a soaring development in recent times, has become an extensive economic sector and a bright spot on the world tourism map, recognized by the international community with many world leading tourism awards.
The theme “Binh Thuan - Green tourism comes together” shows the determination of Vietnam tourism to develop green tourism, sustainable tourism, so as Binh Thuan will be a highlight spot in tourism development in the Central region and the whole country. Economic development must be in harmony with nature, without exchanging the environment for economic growth. Mr. Tran Luu Quang hopes that Binh Thuan will turn its disadvantage of weather with dry, sunny and windy, to become its own brand "blue sea - white sand - golden sunshine" throughout the development.
Vietnam is consistent with the sustainable values that over the years, Vietnam Tourism has created and established in the hearts of domestic and international visitors as a safe, friendly and attractive country.
Focusing on tourism information, communication, and promotion of Vietnam to the world in various forms; effectively implementing the motto "Each citizen is a tourism ambassador"; attentively introducing famous landmarks, unique features of Vietnam's nature, culture and people, creating unique and attractive attractions to enhance competitiveness.

Giving his remarks at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, MOCST’s Minister stated, the Opening Ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year 2023 with the theme “Binh Thuan - Green tourism comes together” aims to promote the recovery and accelerate the development of Vietnam tourism.
As the host of the Visit Vietnam Year 2023, Binh Thuan is not only a representative of the Central strip of land with blue sea, white sand, golden sunshine, along with extremely rich and diverse cultural resources, an advantageous ecosystem for sustainable tourism development… but also hold a big hope to offer domestic and international visitors a green and vacation tourism experience with attractive products.
In order to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector, according to MOCST’s Minister Nguyen Van Hung, authorities and localities should join hands to develop unique tourism products; professional service; convenient and simple procedures; competitive prices; clean green environment; safe, civilised and friendly destination.
