The 3rd Annual World Culinary Awards recently announced the winner list for 2022 at a glamorous dinner reception in Dubai on 13th December. Vietnam was crowned “Asia’s Best Culinary Destination 2022”.
Vietnam excellently surpassed a force to be reckoned with in the area such as China, Hongkong, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, and Thailand, to become “Asia’s Best Culinary Destination 2022”.
This year’s World Culinary Awards is a global gathering of the culinary industry, with pioneers, influencers and leading figureheads from across the world attending the prize-giving evening event.

Ms. Rina van Staden, Director of the World Culinary Awards stated, the results follow a year-long search for the world’s leading culinary brands. Votes were cast by culinary industry professionals and the general public, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named as the winner. World Culinary Awards 2022 winners represent those brands pushing the boundaries of culinary excellence.
Possessing a fascinating food heritage and history, distinctive and unique flavours, iconic recipes and well-known delicates, the Vietnamese dishes are a harmonious, perfect and pure combination, Vietnamese cuisine has carved its way to popularity around the world. Vietnamese cuisine has a charm that spreads to every street, corner and confidentially reaches out to the world, constantly attracting food-lovers to come and enjoy.
Recently, on 1st December 2022, Michelin organised a press conference to announce the inaugural MICHELIN Guide Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City selection set for public release. This is considered a historical turning point for Vietnamese cuisine when it is evaluated and ranked according to the most prestigious, trusted and strict international standards.
Several Vietnamese restaurants were also crowned in the WCA’s Asia categories, namely Anan Restaurant & Rooftop Bar (Asia's Best Restaurant 2022); La Maison 1888 @ InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort (Asia's Best Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant 2022); Food Culture Festival, Delicacies by Saigontourist Group (Asia's Best Culinary Festival 2022).
