On March 5th, a meeting to discuss the coordination of management, protection, and promotion of the values of the Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago World Natural Heritage was held in Ha Long city.

Quang Ninh and Hai Phong have recently carried out a range of programs and coordination plans aiming to effectively managing, preserving and promoting the values of the Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago World Natural Heritage.
The increased and proactive cooperation between the two localities has stimulated the engagement of the community, organizations, businesses, and individuals in heritage protection on a large scale. Accordingly, more stakeholders are actively participating in the preservation of the heritage, particularly in ensuring public security, environmental protection, and the management of tourism vessels.
The outstanding values of the Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago World Heritage have been preserved in their original state will make this destination become a top venue for both Vietnamese tourists and international friends, making an important contribution to the economic growth of both Quang Ninh and Hai Phong.

Relevant departments, agencies, and units from the two localites revealed their opinions and suggestions concerning heritage protection and management during the meeting.

At the same time, the two localities would cooperate in establishing a management council, refining the coordination regulations, the management and protection regulations, and the plan to promote the values of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago World Heritage. These documents are supposed to be submitted for approval in line with regulations, contributing to foster tourism development of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong.
Under the year plan, Quang Ninh province aims to welcome over 4 million visitor arrivals to Ha Long Bay, contributing to the goal of achieving a 14% GRDP growth rate for the province in 2025.
