Vietnam attends World Expo 2020 Dubai

(TITC) - Vietnam Pavilion will be inaugurated at Expo 2020 Dubai on October 1, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has informed.

The inauguration will take place following the opening ceremony of World Expo 2020 Dubai in the UAE scheduled for September 30. Mr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister leads the Vietnam delegation.

The Vietnam Pavilion in Dubai carries the theme “Distilling the Past, Shaping the Future” with experiment through innovations that are transforming vietnamese lives, and learn how Vietnam's stability and rapid development is fostering opportunities for industry and investment.

After 6 times attending EXPO, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assessed that EXPO is a big event to promote the national landmark to millions of visitors and international media. Joining the expo, Vietnam aims to fulfill its political commitments with the host country, while demonstrating its responsibility as a member of the Bureau International des Exposition (BIE). 

Special events at the Vietnam Pavilion will be organized including ASEAN Day (December 13), Vietnam National Day (December 30), Vietnam coffee week (January 1). AO DAI showcase, contemporary art exhibitions, water puppet shows.

EXPO 2020 Dubai will last from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, attracting more than 190 countries and international organisations. It is expected to welcome 25 million visitors.
