Eager for the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine at the Vietnam Culture - Culinary Festival 2023

(TITC) - From 28th April to 30th April, visitors to the Vietnam Culture - Culinary Festival 2023 in Quang Tri Province will grab an opportunity to admire and enjoy the luring and typical dishes of different regions.

Vietnamese cuisine is always appreciated by the world for its simplicity, richness but no less delicate and delicious. From ingredients to spices, all work harmoniously to create delicious dishes that are "hard to resist", once tasted, it will be clingy forever. Vietnamese cuisine has created its own brand and cultural values.

The Vietnam Culture - Culinary Festival 2023 with the theme “The soul of the nation - The taste of the homeland” will take place at Cua Viet Tourist Service Area Square, Cua Viet Town, Gio Linh District, Quang Tri Province. Visitors to the Festival will have an opportunity to enjoy delicious dishes with bold regional identity with the participation of famous artisans of the three regions North – Central - South.

Remarkably, the Festival will have participation of many leading artisans and culinary experts in Vietnam, such as: Eminent artist - Pham Ton Gia Hien; Central Highland Cuisine Expert - Nguyen Hoang; Culinary Specialist - Doan Thi Huong Giang, Chief Chef of Butcher Shop Plus - Nguyen Phuoc Nguyen; Lecturer & Culinary Specialist - Truong Minh Phung; Chef of Quang Tri Province - Nguyen Quoc Vuong; Member of the Executive Board of Binh Duong Professional Chefs Association - culinary expert Phan Duy Thanh…

At the space of "Vietnamese culinary quintessence", there will be performances of famous dishes throughout the three regions such as: Nem cong cha phuong, Con Co Oyster, Momray beef with salted ants, Nha Trang White Sardine fish salad, Vat Giuong porridge, Mangosteen chicken salad, Quang fish noodle soup, An Giang bamboo snail sausages, Seaweed Steamed rice cake…

Nem cong cha phuong is a symbol dish that carries the elegance in Hue royal cuisine. The dish is colourful and made in the shape of peacocks and phoenixes. This is considered the most typical dish of "Bat tran" - referring to eight rare and sophisticated dishes for the royal aristocrats, especially the kings (including birdnest, shark’s fin, nem cong cha phuong…).

Hau (or oyster) in Con Co Island have a larger shape and heavier than oysters in other seas, firmer, more fragrant with high nutritional value, they are great ingredients to make delicious and attractive dishes.

Nha Trang White Sardine fish salad is a specialty with a strong taste of the sea and is also a renowned dish of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. White Sardine fish as its name, has a clear white colour, the meat is aromatic, mixed with sweet and sour sauce and spices to create a flavorful and "mouth-watering" dish with all 5 levels of "sweet - salty - acrid - sour - spicy".

An Giang bamboo snail sausages is a combination of snails and bamboo leaves. A piece of hot sausage, fragrant with the smell of bamboo leaves, the crispy crust of the snail, the softness of the ham and a bit of fat from the nape of the neck while taking a bite. Dipping with spicy fish sauce, the rich taste immediately appears. These strange but familiar dishes will surely satisfy all culinary souls.
