On June 26, Na Duong ranger station in Kim Hy Nature Reserve discovered an individual suspected of being a white-cheeked langur, with the characteristics of a long tail, black hairy body and white cheeks, while patrolling and inspecting the forest in Vai To Tam area. It went down to the edge of the forest in the Nature Reserve to feed and then left to the rocky mountains where it found people.

After many days of monitoring and grasping the situation, at noon on July 10, the Management Board of Kim Hy Nature Reserve discovered and took close-up photos and videos of this species.

They defined that this is exactly the species of the black-cheeked langur, which was discovered and recorded in Kim Hy Nature Reserve for the first time. Previously, the reserve was also identified as the habitat of this rare species.

However, the functional forces had never detected and directly witnessed and recorded their images. According to the Management Board, some bears have reappeared in the reserve after many years of absence.
