Three heritages in Phu Tho recorgnized as national intangible cultural heritage

Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung has signed a Decision declaring the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List for 36 intangible cultural heritages around the country. Phu Tho has three heritages.

They are the Du Yen Temple Festival (Chi Tien commune, Thanh Ba district), the Lady Goddess procession festival (Hung Son town, Lam Thao district). Forest opening festival of the Muong people ethnic (Yen Lap district). With the inclusion of these three new heritages, Phu Tho now has a total of 15 national intangible cultural heritages.

According to the decision, Chairmen of People’s Committees at all levels where intangible cultural heritage is included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List this time shall manage State management in accordance with the provisions of cultural heritage law within the scope of their duties and powers. This will also provide a chance for municipalities to increase the value of history, giving people greater incentive to protect and promote heritage value as well as tourism.
