In a move to deal with the lack of parking lots, Hanoi will take thousands of metres of land in Thong Nhat Park to build parking facilities. Hanoi Department for Planning and Architecture has proposed a plan to build a car park with a steel frame structure in Thong Nhat Park.
The department requested by the Hanoi Parking Services Company will co-operate with the Hanoi Construction Planning Institute and Thong Nhat Park Company to reach an agreement on the scope and land area for the parking facilities on lot DX2 near Nguyen Dinh Chieu and Tran Nhan Tong street.
The parking lot is expected to occupy 2,000 square metres, providing space for about 400 cars.
Hanoi Parking Services Company will work with the Thong Nhat Park Company to send a proposal to the city's authorities for a multi-storey car park in lot DX3.
In addition, Hanoi Department for Planning and Architecture has just submitted a plan to build an underground car park with services on lot DX1, also in Thong Nhat Park, occupying 3,124 square metres near Tran Nhan Tong and Le Duan Street.
A 7,000 square metres underground parking lot is also expected to be built at the area near Tran Nhan Tong and Nguyen Dinh Chieu street.
