Vietnam Culture Week in Cambodia

The fourth Vietnam Culture Week was launched at Carktomuk Theater in Phnom Penh on September 25. st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) }

The event, held by Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, marked the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries and the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Year 2012. 

Cambodian Minister Him Chhem and his Vietnamese counterpart, Minister Hoang Tuan Anh, stressed that the event helps strengthen the traditional friendship, cooperation, development, solidarity and mutual understanding between the two nations and peoples. 

Vietnamese artists presented to the Cambodian audience many folk songs, dances and instrumental music solo performances. 

Also on September 25, circus artists from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia jointly performed to mark the inauguration of the Round Circus Complex, a present from Vietnam to Cambodia.  

The highlights of Vietnam Culture Week, lasting until September 30 are a photo exhibition on Vietnam’s land and people and another on Veitnamese handicraft, fine arts and ceramic products from traditional craft villages.
