Putting Zeng products into homestay tourism

This is one of the objectives of the project to preserve and develop the Zeng brocade weaving of Ta Oi ethnic minority group in 2019-2021. That information was provided by Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of People's Committee of A Luoi District (Thua Thien Hue) on October 4th.

The development of Zeng weaving not only preserves the typical cultural forms, but also solves job creation, as well as helps eliminate hunger, reduce poverty and serve consumption.

The project aims at specific things such as organizing Zeng weaving performance competitions in the direction of gradually moving to cotton fibers and threads with higher quality and more colorful, together with new types of beads. The project also takes priority over arranging blocks at A Luoi market and the community cultural center of the district to display and promote Zeng weaving, as well as supports two units with space to sale Zeng products in Hue city...

In addition, the project aims to build a support and development fund to hire design consultants to create patterns to diversify products; to support the purchase of thread having patterns and quality, and of valuable stone bracelets. The improved looms and training weavers using improved looms are also supported. Besides, the project also organizes the competitions on creating and designing mode to produce souvenir products from Zeng ... The total cost for this project is estimated about 650 million VND.

The project aims to preserve and restore the intangible cultural heritage of the nation, announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2016. It is to enhance the featured cultural values of Zeng weaving, creating opportunity to promote the image of A Luoi of Thua Thien Hue to friends in the province, in the country and over the world to expand the opportunity to receive investment to develop. It also solves job creation, help eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, serve consumption, as well as preserve cultural identity.
