Making visitors feel more welcome

The Da Nang City People’s Committee has issued plans to deploy the ‘Comfort as Home’ campaign to appeal for the general pubic to offer free use of their restrooms to domestic and foreign visitors arriving in the city.

Under the campaign, hotels, guest houses, coffee shops and restaurants, shops, tourist services, filling stations, ports, railway stations, agencies and families across the city are encouraged to voluntarily offer free toilet services for visitors.

The public toilets logo, bearing the slogan ‘Comfort As Home’, will be made really visible to visitors.

The campaign aims to make Da Nang a safer and more friendly destination for both domestic and foreign travellers.

Moreover, the intention is to uphold the responsibilities of the local organsiations and individuals in effectively building healthy living and tourism environment, and a civilised urban lifestyle.

In addition, this scheme will help visitors feel more comfortable and satisfied with the city’s tourism services.

In addition to this campaign, the code of conduct applicable to the tourism industry will be further publicised widely across the city.

This campaign is scheduled to run until December 2020.

The municipal Department of Tourism is in charge of launching and managing the ‘Comfort as Home’ campaign.

The public toilets logo will be introduced through such programmes as roadshows, famtrips, and the distributions of leaflets at local tourist information desks.
