Ba Ho (Three-Lake) Stream

Update: 21/10/2009
24km from Nha Trang City, the Three-lake Stream is located on the Nha Trang–Ninh Hoa Route leading to Phu Huu.

Originating at the 660m-high Hon Son Peak, the stream flows between the 2 stone mountain slopes down to Phu Huu Hamlet to the north and then passes a vast field into Nha Phu Region. The stream gets its name Ba Ho (Three-lake) because in its upper section, there are three lakes, full of water all the time. The first lake is about over 100m2 with scattered stones, half-submerged. Around the lake are vast rocks lying in disorder. About 1km away from the first one, the second lake, nearly 100m2 wide and some 10 meters deep, is created by stones blocking the water. Going upward for about 0.5km, we will reach the third lake situated right beneath a waterfall that tumbles down in a pan-like form with a lot of sand and stones. The lake is smaller and shallower than the first one.

The Three-lake is an ideal resort in summer. After going a long distance of some 10km in the severe sunshine, tourists can enjoy the fresh air and behold the natural beauty of the wild forests and mountains. People and the surrounding nature harmonize in a sweet symphony of the stream’s flowing, birds’ singing and mountain wind’s blowing together with the subtle perfume of wild trees of all kinds.
