Located about 3 km far from the centre of Quy Nhon city, the Ghenh Rang landscape is a famous destination in Viet Nam.
Here is a magnificent sand beach extending amid rocks of all sizes and colours washed by sea waves and breezes.
The beach was formerly reserved to Empress Nam Phuong when she came here with her husband, the last king of Nguyen Dynasty Bao Dai; therefore the name "Queen's Beach" was given to it. Unlike other beaches, it has piles of oval-shaped rocks looking like eggs, so it is also called Bai Trung (Egg site).
On the flank of the hill lying near the beach is the tomb of a famous Vietnamese poetry, Han Mac Tu, who was death before his time. For more than half a century, the "Poet of the Moon" has been lying here to watch the city centre of Quy Nhon during 4 seasons along with the moon and stars as well as to listen to the sea waves knocking at the rocks as he always wished.
Visiting Ghenh Rang, tourists will have a chance to enjoy a unique beauty, pure atmosphere and to learn more about Han Mac Tu’s life and career.
