Training course helps prevent trade of wild animals
Update: 01/12/2009
A training course was held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 30 to strengthen the capacity of southern provinces’ environmental police in discovering and preventing the illegal trade of wild fauna and flora.
The course, organised by the Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wide Fauna and Flora (CITES), provided environmental police with knowledge on wild animals and plants, preservation measures as well as Vietnamese and international legal documents relating to the conservation of wild animal and plants.
Vietnam became the 121 st CITES member in January 1997.
