(TITC) - Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism has actively proposed to the Provincial People's Committee to develop a plan to implement solutions and activities to attract tourists in the "new normal" state, according to Khanh Hoa Newspaper.
Towards the domestic tourism market
After more than 2 months of implementing social distancing to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic, Khanh Hoa has returned with the implementation of the "dual goal" of both disease prevention and control and the gradual recovery of production and business activities, in which tourism is the key one.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, the Covid-19 prevention and control with positive results in the province will facilitate the recovery of tourism activities. Currently, Khanh Hoa has vaccinated more than 18,000 workers in the tourism industry. Tourism businesses are also very eager to welcome visitors back. In the immediate future, the tourism industry proposes to focus on welcoming inter-provincial visitors with the program "Khanh Hoa people travel to Khanh Hoa", followed domestic tourists from non-pandemic areas. At the same time, the province is preparing steps to reopen for international tourists with "vaccine passports".

According to the proposal of the Department of Tourism, Khanh Hoa will welcome domestic visitors who are injected with 2 doses of the vaccine (the second dose at least 14 days before) or 1 dose of the vaccine and have a certificate of negative results for SARS-CoV-2; or have a certificate of recovery from Covid-19 recognized by a competent authority in Vietnam. Tourists have to stay and use self-contained tourism products and services at the resorts and restricting movement. For tourists from outside the province, Khanh Hoa only serves ones using package tours organized by travel agencies.
Tourist establishments serving guests must be located in the "green zone" areas; been appraised by competent tourism and health agencies to ensure safety against Covid-19 pandemic before going into operation. Employees serving in tourist facilities must have a certificate of having been injected with full 2 doses of vaccine (the second dose is at least 14 days before) or a certificate of recovery from Covid-19 approved by the competent authority in Vietnam.
Plan to reopening for international tourists with "vaccine passports"
Khanh Hoa is also preparing to reopen for international tourists. Currently, the Department of Tourism has submitted to the Provincial People's Committee a pilot plan to welcome international tourists with "vaccine passports" by charter flights to Khanh Hoa. According to the process, the Provincial People's Committee will send to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ministries and central agencies for comments before submitting to the Prime Minister for permission.
