(TITC) - Quang Binh Province (Central Vietnam) is planning to resume tourism, focusing on upgrading facilities, ready to serve tourists, and fully restoring tourism business activities in new normal conditions.

Quang Binh Province is home of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, where is well-known with the “kingdom of caves” and the world's largest cave of Son Doong.
In order to gradually recover and develop tourism in the context that Quang Binh and localities in Vietnam step to control the pandemic and safely adapt to COVID-19, while supporting accommodation establishments, tourism businesses, creating jobs for workers ..., the plan to restore and promote tourism development of Quang Binh will be divided into 2 phases.
Phase 1 from now until the end of 2021: The province focuses on repairing, renovating and upgrading infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, environmental sanitation at accommodation establishments and tourist service providers to be ready to welcome and serve tourists. At the same time, it must prepare human resources and promote tourism products, piloting a number of package tourism products according to a closed process, tourism under the "green stream".
Accommodation facilities serve guests with "COVID-19 green card", "COVID-19 yellow card" issued based on the database system; welcome guests according to closed tour programs while ensuring safety conditions. Quang Binh implements the package tour programs for intra-provincial visitors with a limited number of guests and stay at establishments that ensure safe conditions.
The province will develop new tourism products that both meet the needs of tourists and ensure safety for pandemic prevention and control with diverse forms including community tourism, agricultural tourism, cultural and historical tourism, cuisine, sports, high-class entertainment, etc.
Phase 2, starting from January 1, 2022 until the end of 2022, when the pandemic could be completely controlled and socio-economic activities reopen. In this period, Quang Binh focuses on restoring tourism business activities in new conditions.
In particular, the province will diversify and develop more products of community tourism, cultural and historical tourism, agricultural tourism, high-class sports, night tourism, tourism associated with conservation and promotion of ethnic minority cultural values…
Province improves linking with other provinces in the Central Region, from Quang Binh to Quang Nam, to develop common tourism products; promoting the opening of domestic air routes from major tourist centers to Quang Binh with the ability to connect to transfer the international travelers to Quang Binh.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quy, Director of Quang Binh Department of Tourism, said that in the immediate future, to support the development of tourism human resources, the Department recommends the Provincial People's Committee to prioritize vaccination against COVID-19 for workers in the tourism sectors and related industries in the supply chain of services for tourists, support training for employees in skills and operations to improve service quality.
Regarding the opening and restoration of tourism activities, the Department proposed to allow the implementation of package tour programs for domestic tourists, ensure safety against epidemics with a pilot form in the period from October 1 until December 31 and continue to expand in the next period.
