(TITC) - On November 17, in Ha Noi, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung had meeting with Mr. Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén - Ambassador of Cuba to Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa, Director of International Cooperation Department attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Minister and the Ambassador reviewed the special traditional friendship between the two countries. It was laid down by President Ho Chi Minh and President Fidel Castro and has developed by Government leaders, people of the two countries for more than 60 years.
The two sides also reiterated some outstanding results in the official visit of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc's to Cuba in September 2021 with strong commitment of the leaders of two countries. The two sides agreed to promote cooperation in culture, sports and tourism in the coming time.

The Ambassador informed that Cuba officially reopened to tourism from November 15, 2021. In the situation that the pandemic is under control, Cuba will hold an International Tourism Fair at the beautiful Varadero beach in May 2022 and hope that Vietnamese travel businesses can attend this event.
