Speaking at the launch ceremony, Deputy Director of the centre Vu Minh Ly said that the conservation and sustainable development of Vietnam's wetlands rich in resources and biodiversity has always been considered one of the sustainable development goals by the Vietnamese Party and State.
According to him, to make the work effective and create a positive change in the community, it is necessary to increase communication activities, with the contest as an example, to raise public awareness of conservation and sustainable development of wetlands in ecological regions of Vietnam.
The contest aims to create a playground, and an opportunity for all Vietnamese people of all ages, especially young people, to show off their talents and gain more knowledge and useful information about the country’s wetlands, he added.
