Quang Ninh is expected to open to welcome international visitors for the first time in the first week of 2022. The very first group of tourists from Korea will enter Van Don international airport on January 7, 2022.
Quang Ninh has selected pilot tourism models to welcome international guests, including overnight cruises in Ha Long Bay, entertainment at Tuan Chau International Tourist Area, and vacations at Yen Tu relic and scenic area, Uong Bi City, and Mong Cai - Tra Co tourist area, Mong Cai City.
Quang Ninh also announced businesses and service facilities that are eligible to welcome international tourists in the first phase, including FLC Grand Ha Long Hotel, Tinh nghia Tourist and Transport Trading Joint Stock Company, and the branch of Viet Way Company in Quang Ninh. The province also selected a number of ships that are allowed to welcome international tourists to visit Ha Long Bay in the first phase.
Quang Ninh is one of five localities in the country proposed by the National Administration of Tourism to welcome international tourists under a pilot program based on the following conditions: high vaccination rate, capacity to cope with epidemics, and high-class, attractive and all-inclusive travel experiences.
