Hue Festival 2022 will last all year round

(TITC) - According to Thua Thien Hue People’s Committee, Hue Festival 2022 will be held all year round underneath the theme of the four seasons. Cultural and art activities, folk festivals, royal festivals are organized on occasion to meet the needs of visiting, exploring, and enjoying from visitors.

In specific, the Spring Festival ‘Harmony of spring colors’ takes place from January to March with particular royal and folk festivals, opening with the Ban Soc Ceremony; Thuong Neu Ceremony; Huyen Tran Temple Festival; Xa Tac Sacrifice Ceremony; Hue Poetry Festival; the highlight is ‘Hue – the Culinary Capital’ Festival which takes place in March.

The Summer Festival takes place from April to June with performances of national and international art troupes. Ao dai pageant, street pageant ‘cultural colors’, Te Giao Ceremony, Trinh Cong Son music night will also be held throughout this time.

The Autumn Festival takes place from July to September with several activities, namely ‘Old Fragrance in the Ancient Town’; Hue Nam (or Hon Chen) Temple Festival in July; Truyen Lo Pageant; Conventional boat racing Pageant on the Perfume River; the traditional lantern pageant; Lan (unicorn) Hue Festival.

The Winter Festival takes place from October to December with applications such as ‘The Bolero Golden Voice of Hue’ Festival, Music Festival - ‘Winter Sonata’, ending with the Countdown 2022.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh indicated, Hue Festival 2022 contains approximately 50 cultural occasions, representing the typical cultural identity of the region and the country, with the aim to exchange and cooperate in culture, honor and promote the typical cultural features of the ancient capital with 07 UNESCO-honoured heritage titles, transforming Hue into a typical festival city, one of the unique cultural and tourist centers of Vietnam.
