Brand identity of Hanoi’s craft village handed over to serve tourists

The Hanoi Department of Tourism held a conference on January 21, to hand over sample products of the signpost system and the brand identity of Hanoi's craft village, design documents of tourist signs and Hanoi souvenirs for some districts, including Hoan Kiem, Ha Dong and Gia Lam

Hanoi Department of Tourism and Vietnam Women's Museum handed over sample products of signboard systems and brand identities of Hanoi craft villages to specific districts.

The set of product samples of the signboard systems and the brand identities of Hanoi craft villages by the Hanoi Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the Vietnam Women's Museum, including French experts to survey the current status, study the design and production for six years.

Director of the Vietnam Women's Museum Nguyen Hai Van said, the signboard system includes: An information board, tourist guide board, Old Quarter information board, and Old town map.

“The signboards are made of sustainable materials. Visitors, when viewing the boards, not only know where they stand, but also where they need to go, additionally they can have direct experiences when searching for information here. There is also a QR code and lighting throughout the board, to guide visitors at night," said Nguyen Hai Van.

Regarding the brand identity of Hanoi craft village tourism, Nguyen Hai Van said that implementing units have completed the common identity of the Hanoi craft village tourism brand and set the brand identity for the two craft villages: Bat Trang ceramics (Gia Lam district) and Van Phuc silk (Ha Dong district).

The Department of Tourism proposed to the local People’s Committee, to direct the review and statistics of destinations within the areas that need to install a system of tourist signboards, so that localities can develop projects to implement plans for production and the installation of the boards.

In addition, the local People's Committee can organise the application of Hanoi's traditional craft village tourism brand identity in information, propaganda and promotional activities at cultural events. Craft village tourism as well as the produced souvenirs for tourism, are available in the local craft villages.
