A VietJet Air flight coded VJ230 carrying 126 passengers from Ho Chi Minh City landed at Van Don Airport in Quang Ninh Province on February 1, the first day of the Lunar New Year.
Leaders of Quang Ninh province present gifts to the first guests to Van Don Airport on the first day of the Lunar New Year 2022.
The passengers included international tourists from the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China), and Japan.
Van Don Airport has reopened after the issuance of Government Resolution 128 on safe adaptation to and effective control of the COVID-19 pandemic. VietJet Air and Bamboo Airways are operating routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Van Don and vice versa.
Quang Ninh Province and Sun Group continue to provide special promotions for passengers flying to or from Van Don Airport. Accordingly, passengers are entitled to free tickets to visit Ha Long Bay and the Yen Tu landscape in addition to discounts on service prices at selected amusements, sightseeing spots, and resorts in the area.
In addition to restoring regular flights, Van Don Airport will continue to receive flights carrying overseas Vietnamese people back home and foreign experts to Vietnam to work in accordance with anti-pandemic measures.
