Wanderlust UK Magazine: Take a trip to the mountainous area in Vietnam this spring season

Update: 09/03/2022
(TITC) - Recently, the UK magazine, Wanderlust has revealed its recommended list of 20 best countries around the world to visit in March and the mountainous area in Vietnam is one of the best March destinations for longer-term travel.

The magazine stated that March is a time of change, a month that has fewer crowds with better weather and will always be the shoulder season for travellers to start their adventures.

According to Wanderlust, March is the spring season in northern Vietnam. It is the best time to explore its hill country since the weather is mild and humidity is at the lowest. Dry days will grant many opportunities to discover the indigenous villages around Sapa and Mai Chau by foot.

Beautiful Sapa (Lao Cai Province) is located in the West-northern mountains of Vietnam and is made up of a main town in the Muong Hoa Valley. Surrounding Sapa proper visitors will find a selection of local villages which are the home of some of the ethnic minorities in Vietnam. In fact, Sapa was voted one of the Top 10 most attractive destinations in Asia in 2017 by popular American travel website TripAdvisor, one of the 50 most beautiful places in Asia by the US’s Condé Nast Traveller, and one of the Top 8 destinations in Vietnam by English travel site of Rough Guides. Wanderlust suggested that visitors should take a guide along with them for a better experience.

In Sapa, visitors can choose many attractions to visit such as the Sapa Museum, where to find a showcase of the history and culture of the region; go hiking and be ready to be amazed by the terraced rice fields and lush green hills; for more adventurous, have a hike to Fansipan, the highest Mount in Indochina or explore Fairy Cave. In the morning, visitors can give their own a try on Café in the Clouds, a chillaxing experience in the Sapa trip. By any chance, visitors come to Sapa on the weekend, there is the Saturday night “Love Market” and nearby is the mesmerising Gothic stone church in the town centre, which will remind visitors about the French missionary influence.

Another fine option for visitors is located on the South-west of Ha Noi, the Mai Chau Valley (Hoa Binh Province) will definitely give visitors a well retreat tour in Vietnam. Visitors can visit Lac, a 700-year-old-village and home to the White Thai people, who farm hereabouts, and stay in the bamboo stilt houses. It is a good chance to indulge in the potent local wine with the locals there.
