A welcome ceremony for more than 1,100 MICE (meeting, incentive, conference, and exhibition) visitors to the central city of Thua Thien Hue was held on April 18 by the municipal Department of Tourism.
MICE tourists pose for a photo at the Hue imperial citadel.
The MICE tour is being operated by Vietnam Travel and Marketing Transport JSC (Vietravel) and represents the largest MICE delegation to visit Hue in recent years.
The department, working in co-ordination with the provincial police, have arranged vehicles to transport the visitors from Phu Bai international airport to popular destinations around the locality, as well as to their hotels in the province.
It has also worked alongside the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to organise an art performance welcoming the delegation at Ngo Mon Gate, one of the four main gates of Hue Citadel.
Nguyen Van Phuc, deputy director of the provincial Department of Tourism, said that visitors to the imperial city of Hue will experience green tours, which cover a broad array of eco-friendly activities, including wearing traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai (national long dress), and making a cyclo tour to learn more about Hue’s cultural heritage.
