Grand Opening Ceremony of the Asian Routes Development Forum - Routes Asia Da Nang - Viet Nam 2022

(TITC) - On 6th June 2022, the Asian Routes Development Forum - Routes Asia Da Nang - Viet Nam 2022 was officially lifted in Da Nang City. Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman of Vietnam Administration of Tourism (VNAT) attended the event.

The 16th Asian Routes Development Forum held from 06th - 08th June 2022 is the exclusive Asia's international investment promotion event in the aviation sector that was held for the first time in Da Nang, Vietnam. This is the place to bring together policy makers from the world's leading airlines, airports, destinations and suppliers to realise action plans and accelerate the recovery process of the Asia - Pacific region.

As the host unit of the Forum, Mr. Steven Small, Director of Informa Routes brand said: “Routes is a part of Informa - the world’s largest unit for events connecting businesses. Speaking at the Opening ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Da Nang City said: “The Routes Asia 2022 event held in the special context, Vietnam has opened up its sky route internationally and welcomes the very first international flights after 2 years being severely affected by COVID-19. By hosting the Routes Asia 2022, this most prestigious aviation development forum in the region, not only navigating Da Nang as the destination of event but also showing the strong determination of the city in the process of restoring its flight route network and tourism economy. Da Nang has set the goal in 2 years (starting from 2022) to restore the aviation industry as a pre-pandemic period, especially, promote the connection among Da Nang and other important air hubs, connecting with markets such as America, Europe and Middle East. Simultaneously, continue to promote in potential markets such as India and Southeast Asia. It is expected that Da Nang will offer a comfortable and effective environment for exchanging activities and connecting businesses among aviation and tourism partners during the event.”

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) committed to closely coordinate with Da Nang City People's Committee and relevant ministries to promote cooperation activities among Da Nang International Airport and airlines and travel agencies in the overall aviation - tourism cooperation to develop the flight route network development plan, said Mr. Dinh Viet Thang, CAAV's Director.

After the ceremony, delegates paid a visit to the booths at Asia air travel exhibition, joining in appointed meetings in the Routes Asia system and other conferences and seminars taking place during the event from 6th - 8th June 2022.
