Update: 01/07/2022
About 40 kilometers from the center of Van Don district, the island of Quan Lan has emerged as a great place for those who want to immerse in nature and escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Tourists enjoy some recreational activities on the island.

Quan Lan commune has 66 restaurants and hotels ready to serve tourists. The transportation services using 100 four-wheel electric cars called Tuk Tuk also make it convenient for visitors to travel around the island.

Lying in the middle of the sea, Quan Lan is endowed with the natural beauty, peace and transquility. Quan Lan island is famous for three unspoiled beaches: Quan Lan, Son Hao and Minh Chau. All has white sand and are pristine compared with other beaches in the north of Vietnam. Quan Lan beach is closest to the pier and is evaluated as the most beautiful. Son Hao beach is 4km further into the island and go further by next 10km is Minh Chau beach.

Eo Gio Peak is a must-see place on the island. To reach the peak, visitors must climb numerous mountain roads. Standing on the peak, which looks to the sea, everyone is impressed by the immensity of the sky and the sea.

It also keeps historical and cultural values. Quan Lan is still home to some of Halong Bay’s culturally significant historic buildings such as the Quan Lan Communal house complex, with a pagoda, and temple which was first built in the 17th century and has been well maintained ever since. This complex has been recognized as a National Historic Relic in Vietnam since 1990.

A variety of projects have been done by Quan Lan commune to preserve and  promote those  tourist attractions such as Eo Gio Peak, Quan Lan communal house, Quan Lan fishing village, primeval forest, walking streets, etc.

Currently, some new tourism products, namely experiencing a daily life of fishermen, squid fishing, sa sung digging, have lured numerous tourists.
