The number of international visitors to Vietnam in June 2022 was estimated at 236,700, an increase of 36.8% from the previous month and 32.9 times higher than the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

In the first six months of the year, international visitors to the country totalled 602,000, a 6.8-fold rise year on year but a 92.9% decrease compared to the same period of 2019 when the COVID-19 epidemic had not begun.
In which, visitors arriving by air reached 523.900, accounting for 87% and a 9.4-fold increase agaist the same period of 2021, while those arriving by road was 78,000, accounting for nearly 13% and a 2.4-fold increase
Visitors from Asia numbered 392,100 arrivals, a 5.1-fold increase against the same period last year, while those from Europe were 96,400 (a 14.1-fold rise); from the Americas 81,000 (a 33.1 fold increase); from Australia more than 30,000 (a 46.3-fold increase), and from Africa 2,400 (a 3.6-fold rise).
Statistics show that the revenue from accommodation and catering services surged by 20.9% in the first six months, and 80% in June, over the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the travel service revenue in the January – June period surged by 94.4% over the same period last year thanks to the strong recovery of tourism activities, especially the boom of domestic tourism in the second quarter. Some localities recording high revenues were Khanh Hoa (up 627.8%); Can Tho (183.9%), Hanoi (129.3%); Da Nang (98.5 percent); and Quang Nam (67.8 percent)./.
