Update: 28/07/2022
On July 25, the budget carrier Vietjet opened the direct flight route connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Busan (the Republic of Korea).

Passengers on the first flight receive souvenirs and flowers from representative of Vietjet at Gimhae International Airport, Busan

This is the first flight warmly welcomed with a water cannon ceremony and the opening ceremony at Gimhae International Airport, Busan.

Earlier, Vietjet launched the first air route from Da Nang to Busan on July 20 and re-opened the Nha Trang - Busan air route on July 21.

The Hanoi - Busan route resumed operation early this month. Busan routes are operated with return flights every day, helping passengers conveniently arrange travel, work, and study with a duration of about 5 hours.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Vice President of Vietjet, said: “Two newly opened routes between Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Busan demonstrate the dynamism of one of the leading operators between the two countries, promptly serving the increasing travel demand.”

Together with 4 flight routes to Busan, Vietjet now provides air services between Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Hai Phong and Seoul with frequency of 1-2 flights a day on each air route, and the frequency is expected to be increased in the near future.

The Republic of Korea has reopened tourist visas for international visitors. Korean tourists are exempt from Vietnam visa when staying for less than 15 days, do not need to be tested for COVID-19 and do not need to make a medical declaration when coming to Vietnam.
