Quang Nam: Restoration of Cua Dai coast

Cua Dai beach (Hoi An city, Quang Nam province) is gradually restored, which is a result from the project on Cua Dai coastal emergency erosion prevention. It also supports the recovery of marine tourism activities there.

The VND300- billion project on Cua Dai coastal emergency erosion prevention was launched in July 2021.

The project is carried out.

Then, a 1,530 metre long submerged dike has been being built to protect the coastal line of Hoi An and a 1,950 metre beach has been being made in Cua Dai area.

The projects are expected to finish before the rainy season 2022.

It is hoped that the project will help to prevent Cua Dai coastal landslides, to recover the beauty of Cua Dai beach which facilitates the development of tourism activities, to minimise damage and stabilise local lives.

Another VND 210 billion project on Cua Dai coastal emergency erosion prevention will follow and be carried out in the period of 2022-2023, including a 550 metre emerged dike and a 1,450 metre long beach next to An Bang beach.
