(TITC) - Promoting the open policy for international tourism, Vietnam tourism currently generates positive recovery energy worldwide. The monitoring travel trends tool Google Destination Insights showed the soaring of Vietnam tourism search volume.
According to the report of APEC Policy Support Unit (PSU), Vietnam is the only of 21 APEC economies to introduce no travel restrictions, no COVID-19 certification required, no COVID-19 testing required, no quarantine requirements.
By far, the search volume for accommodation in Vietnam in August increased 7 times compared to the period of March 2022. The international search volume for airs to Vietnam also shows an upward trend, with an increase of 3 times.

The highest number of search volume for Vietnam tourism comes from countries such as the US, Singapore, India, Australia, Japan, Thailand, Germany, France, the UK, Malaysia.

Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phan Thiet, Hue, Vung Tau are the most wanted tourist destinations searched by international visitors.

On the other hand, the demand for travelling abroad of Vietnamese people shows an upper trend after a long time of being “prisoned” due to the pandemic. The search volume increased by 3 times during the period from March to August 2022.
Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, USA, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, France, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Japan,... are favourite destinations by searching of Vietnamese, in which, the destinations in Southeast Asia are the highest travel interest of Vietnamese post the pandemic.
