French Cruise laid the anchor in Vietnam after 3 years

(TITC) - Le Laperouse, a luxury cruise ship run by French company Ponant carried 100 passengers with nationalities of French, American, German, etc docked at Con Dao Island on 1st October, kicking off their cruise exploration in Vietnam.

Le Laperouse embarked at Indonesia, passing by Singapore for Vietnam and laid its anchor at Ben Dam Port, Con Dao Island (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) in the afternoon of 1st October.

Passengers on board had an opportunity to pay a visit to Con Dao Museum, Phu Hai Prison Relic, French tiger cage, Hang Duong Cemetery, snorkelling at Hon Cau…

On the same day, it continued the journey and reached the next destination - Ho Chi Minh City in the morning of 2nd October. It is the first Ho Chi Minh City welcomes International group travelling on luxury yachts returned after the last visit in mid-November 2019.

Saigon Newport Corporation and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism coordinate to welcome the group.

The Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry has determined to develop a variety of customer segments, therefore, a variety of services to satisfy different groups of visitors have been put on plan, including cruise passengers as one of the key groups of tourists. Also, to welcome more cruise passengers to Ho Chi Minh City, the city’s tourism has been preparing food, entertainment, and shopping services, said Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism.

Besides, the Department of Tourism has coordinated with travel agents, shipping lines, ports… to ensure the quality of services, focus on specialised products such as restaurants, high-end hotels, night economic services, etc to welcome large groups of cruise ship passengers coming to Ho Chi Minh City in the upcoming time.

Showing his appreciation towards the warm welcoming from the city, Captain Ludovic Provost expressed, this is his first time coming to Ho Chi Minh City. Earlier, Le Lapérouse docked here back in the middle of November 2019. He was wowed with the charm of Vietnam and how friendly the people are. “Everything in here is fantastic, the city welcomes us warmly and generously. From flowers, wine to music, such a great song by my favourite singer. It is for sure we will have more experience and beautiful memories in Ho Chi Minh City as well as other destinations in Vietnam”.

Le Lapérouse yacht 132 m long, 18 m wide, 28 m high was put into use in 2018, belonging to the luxury segment, serving only a maximum of 184 guests per trip

After Ho Chi Minh City, the yacht will continue its journey to Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Da Nang, Hue, Quang Binh and Ha Long Bay, etc.
