Kien Giang organized sanitation – environment week

Steering board of sanitation – environment of Ranh Gia city (Kien Giang province) has promulgated a plan of organizing a peak week of general environment sanitation across the city from September 21st to September 28th 2008.

According to the plan, there were about 2.000 people participating the meeting on September 21st 2008 in Sports – Culture Center of Ranh Gia city to propagandize a mass activity of cleaning streets in order that it is ready to welcome tourists to the 140-year Anniversary of sacrificed day of the national hero Nguyen Trung Truc.

 

The steering board has assigned responsibilities to the urban building company to strengthen forces of workers for sweeping and collecting rubbish from roadsides, clearing sewerage in the inner city, arranging more vehicles to timely collect and carry rubbish.

 

It has also assigned responsibilities to Office of City People’s Council, People’s Committee, Television Station, Culture and Information Department to intensify propaganda and campaign of people for positive participation. City Police has arranged traffic police and volunteer youths to strengthen patrol on peak day of starting.


The Education and Training Department has steered schools to have a plan of general sanitation of classes, in front of and inside the schools. Youth Union, Labor Federation, Woman Union are responsible for propagandize their members for participation. Heads of agencies, industries, organizations which are located in the city have responsibilities for directing officials and cadres of their offices for full participation to the general sanitation week. Only in the wards, Chairman of ward People's Committees is responsible for informing the implementation plan of sanitation - environment week to schools, agencies, units within the ward and street area under the management of the ward.
 

The steering board of the sanitation- environment week of Rach Gia city has summarized and rewarded the streets with good implementation of this plan.
