The first-ever Vietnam Water Week 2022 will be organised in Hanoi from November 9 to 11, under the theme ‘Policy of the water sector - Sustainable development’.
The event is hosted by the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA) and the Vietnam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition JSC, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Construction and the Government Portal.
It is expected to welcome more than 700 delegates from Stage management agencies, foreign representative offices in Vietnam, scientists at home and abroad, as well as businesses operating in water supply and sewage treatment from countries worldwide.
It will also gather the participation of international organisations such as the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the World Bank, and the water’s association from the UK, Australia, Germany, Hungary, and Finland.
According to VWSA's Standing Vice Chairman, Dr. Tran Anh Tuan, discussions and opinions shared at the event will support the establishment of the legal corridor for the water sector’s sustainable development.
It will also provide Vietnamese businesses working in the sector with an opportunity to improve production capacity, increase their products’ quality, and get updated on the latest technologies in the sector, he added.
Within the framework of the event, the organising board will present prizes to 10 graduation projects on water supply and drainage, infrastructure planning and environmental technology, which stood out from dozens of entries submitted by universities and training facilities across the country.
