(TITC) – From 12th to 14th December 2022, in New Delhi (India), Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism cooperated with Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organize Vietnam Days in India and Vietnam Tourism Promotion Forum on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The highlight of the event will be the Vietnam Cultural Space with a variety of activities such as: Photo exhibition "Vietnamese vitality" with the main content about the beauty of culture, country and people of Vietnam; Introducing Dong Ho folk paintings and the folk art of making to he; Performing ethnic musical instruments; Presenting video clips promoting Vietnamese culture, art and cuisine; 3D digital exhibition on Vietnamese lacquer art and experiencing Vietnamese culture through the video game "Lac Viet Phieu Luu Ki". Indian people and partners will also have the opportunity to enjoy art performing program at the Magical Night organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Especially on 14th December, Vietnam Tourism Promotion Forum in India will be hold. The forum will focus on flight connections and promoting special types of tourism such as culinary tourism, wedding tourism, MICE tourism, golf tourism, leisure tourism, film tourism. This will also be an opportunity for management agencies and businesses of the two countries to meet and exchange information, strengthen cooperation to increase two-way tourist exchange between Vietnam and India.

India is an important and potential market for Vietnam tourism. After fully opening tourism from March 15, 2022, the number of Indian visitors to Vietnam is increasing. According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam welcomed 27,000 Indian arrivals in November 2022, an increase of 31% compared to the previous month and 50% higher than the same period in 2019. The total number of Indian visitors to Vietnam reached 109,000 arrivals in Jan-Nov of 2022, ranking 9th in top 10 source markets. The average growth rate of visitors in 2022 was 49% per month.
The result shows the very good growth of this potential market, thanks to promote Vietnam tourism to the Indian market and the direct flights between the major cities of the two countries.
