Magical Night - A charming Vietnamese night in India

(TITC) - On 12th December 2022, in New Delhi, India, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Vietnam in India and the Council on Foreign Relations of India organised the Magical Night - Vietnamese Art Performance. This is an event in the framework of Vietnam Days in India 2022, taking place from 11th-15th December.

Giving his remarks at the Magical Night, Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of MOCST said, in recent years, Vietnam and India have become a comprehensive strategic partnership, cooperating in many fields including culture, sports and tourism, and also achieved many important results bringing practical benefits to the people.

The Magical Night is a vivid proof of cultural exchange between Vietnam and India. Indian audiences have a chance to enjoy unique art forms of Vietnam, including those that have been recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. This cultural programme will contribute to consolidating and promoting the friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, he added.

Mr. Vellamvelly Muraleedharan, Minister of State for External Affairs of India emphasised in his speech, Vietnam is one of India's closest and most trusted partners, an important pillar of India's Act East Policy and Indo-Pacific Vision. The Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has expanded the scope of bilateral cooperation in the fields of cultural and people-to-people exchanges. The Minister of State for External Affairs of India expressed his wish that the two countries further strengthen cultural cooperation in line with the Common Vision for Peace, Prosperity and Humanity, which was set forth by the Leaders of the two countries in December 2020.

The Vietnam Days in India 2022 takes place in New Delhi, India, not only introduces the beauty of the country, people and unique features of Vietnamese culture to the Indian public but also contributes to consolidating and tightening the traditional friendship relationship and enhancing tourism development between the two countries.

In the framework of Vietnam Day in India 2022, other highlights activities include the Vietnam Cultural Space (takes place on 13th December) and the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Forum in India (on 14th December).
