A colourful arts programme was staged at Lam Vien Squar, Da Lat City, as an event to officially kick start the ninth Da Lat Flower Festival on December 18.

The programme attracted the participation of around 400 artists and performers, who entertained the audiences with performances praising the nature, land and people of Da Lat City.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan said that the festival provides a good opportunity to promote the image of the beautiful land and hospitable people of Da Lat City, thus contributing to recovering local tourism and facilitating socio-economic development post COVID-19 pandemic.
She called on the authorities and people of Lam Dong Province and Da Lat City to continue consolidating the great solidarity bloc among ethnic groups, fully unlocking the locality’s potentials and advantages, and boosting regional connectivity in order to achieve rapid, comprehensive and sustainable development, thus contributing to the overall development of the Central Highlands region and the country in general.
Following its eight previous editions, the Da Lat Flower Festival has left a good impression in the hearts of domestic and international tourists, contributing to promoting local culture and tourism to the world.
Themed ‘Da Lat - The City of Four Seasons of Flowers’, this year’s event will run until December 31 with nine main programmes being held in the cities of Da Lat and Bao Loc, along with dozens of other side-line events honouring flowers and horticulturists throughout Lam Dong Province.
