(TITC) - Australian columnist, blogger, feature writer, and host of Traveller's podcast Flight of Fancy Ben Groundwater, wrote a brief to introduce Vietnamese Pho as “The Vietnamese noodle soup is the country's greatest culinary gift to the world”.
There are a bunch of noodle soup dishes around the world, from ramen of Japan to laksa of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, bouillabaisse or caldo verde or even Moroccan bessara. Among many delicious donations, Pho (beef Pho and chicken Pho) is a signature dish of Vietnam, is truly a greatest culinary gift to the world from Vietnam. This dish was developed in the North of Vietnam during the late 19th and early 20th centuries and gradually spread its roots to the South with a bit variation of topping and now the world.
