(TITC) - Bach Ma National Park (Thua Thien Hue Province) has been chosen to be the destination to hold the "Running for the Wild".

To celebrate the World Wildlife Day on 3rd March, the Biodiversity Conservation component of the Biodiversity Conservation and Forestry Programs funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will organise the "Running for the Wild" on 5th March 2023.
3rd March is the date of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES Convention) signed in 1973. Vietnam is one of the countries that have signed and implemented this Convention since 1994.
At Bach Ma, the athletes will experience the route through the majestic primaeval forest with countless new, diverse and rich species of flora and fauna. Depending on the fitness ability of each person, they can give the choice of 3 km, 13 km and 33 km to register to participate.
Environmental races always have meaningful and humane messages. Organising a race in Bach Ma National Park helps athletes spread the importance of environmental protection, above all, will seize more opportunities to see and appreciate wild animals and plants in the National Park of the country.
Environmental issues are always urgent and of special interest, the purpose of the campaign to propagate environmental protection is becoming widespread. Previously, the "Run for wildlife - Wildlife is not medicine" took place on 6th November 2022, attracting 358 athletes from 25 countries to participate, creating a total distance of 3,696 km.
