Ho Chi Minh City - dream of every street food lover

(TITC) - The Travel Magazine listed 10 cities in Asia that have the best street food for foodie travellers to experience and enjoy. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam placed no.2 in the list.

Without any doubt to say that Asia is the perfect destination to enjoy street food. Cities in the Asian region always occupied a soft spot for food lovers around the world with unique scenery and the way of serving food. Hawkers sell fried snacks on the back of bicycles, stalls made of tin and plastic grill hot kebabs at night, and entire streets are dedicated to licensed street food shops selling everything from spicy noodles to cold milk teas. This year, why not spend your time, come across a street in any Asian city, choose a stall randomly, then have a seat and enjoy greasy local delicacies.

While mentioning Ho Chi Minh City a.k.a Saigon, the image of these tiny alleys filled with various street food greatness pop up. No need for Michelin stars to prove their taste or any fancy advertising board to show off themselves, their reputations come from the crowd gathering in plastic stools and tables. Street food has become a way of life. Street food is not for those who are looking for a fabulous place with excellent service because street food comes from a place of poverty and food is sold on trolleys, carts or behind trucks, yet the quality and the taste of food are fascinating.

Banh mi (baguette sandwiches), Chao muc (squid porridge), and xa xiu (barbecued pork) are typical street food that are sold at old-fashion restaurants, plastic chairs and tables on the streets. Visitors can also find Vietnamese coffee and pour cold Saigon beers on street vendors.

Another option to enjoy the street food in Saigon is to hop on a Vespa tour and whizz through many streets for a street food experience.
