"A tourist's guide to love" is the first international film by Netflix after the COVID-19 pandemic. The film is shot in 5 Vietnamese localities, including Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Ha Giang, Da Nang, and Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary of Quang Nam.

Among international and famous Vietnamese actors and actresses are producer Rachael Leigh Cook, Vietnamese-American actor Scott Ly, elite artist Le Thien, young actor Quinn Truc Tran... The film will be released globally by Netflix on April 27, 2023.
Screenwriter Eirene Tran Donohue wrote "A tourist's guide to love" after a 5-week trip to Vietnam.
The film is about a female tourism expert who decided to participate in a project to learn about Vietnam's tourism after she had broken up with her boyfriend.
She visited many places in Vietnam - an S-shaped country, talking with friendly and hospitable Vietnamese people, experiencing the Vietnam’s traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) and romantic adventures with a Vietnamese tour guide.
Lead actress Rachael Leigh Cook said Vietnam is an extremely beautiful country with diverse landscapes. So, it is essential to choose different parts of Vietnam for the film which will be a valuable document and attract audiences.
The rich and lively culture of Vietnam is told in the film through the Tet party and the Ao Dai - the traditional Vietnamese costume performed by Rachael Leigh Cook.
According to Eirene Tran Donohue, it is really important to tell the story of the present life with joy, love and memories in Vietnam.
She hopes to highlight Vietnam as a modern promising country through the film.
