Ideal time to take a waterbus
Weekdays would be less crowded than weekends. Visitors are also recommended to avoid noon and early afternoon because the weather of Saigon is quite hot. However, the best time to take a waterbus at about 5 - 5.30pm when the sun goes down, to watch the sunset on the Saigon River as well as save yourself one-of-a-kind virtual live pictures.
There is a parking lot in every station for motorbikes and a building nearby for cars. Different from a common bus, waterbus offers visitors a “fancy” experience like riding on a luxury yacht with open and hygiene space.
No matter where your seat location is, you can freely enjoy the light wind, fresh air from open windows and aisles.
There is a small stall for light snacks on waterbus to ease your grumpy stomach. The waterbus will stop for a few minutes to pick up and drop off passengers as well as spend time for those who need to take pictures at every stopping point. The Staff are friendly and always helpful.
Saigon sunset
From Bach Dang wharf to Linh Dong wharf is only about 40 minutes, but in fact, the whole process of buying tickets, going and returning can take more than 4 hours. Therefore, carry on light snacks and water are highly suggested.
Let's hop on the Saigon Waterbus and enjoy fun sightseeing experience as you cross the waters and take in the panoramic view of Ho Chi Minh City from Saigon River, such as Landmark 81, Vinhomes Central Park, etc. And from stops, visitors can hop on electric cars to get to destinations such as Ben Thanh Market, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, City Museums,…
Children get free tickets for the waterbus, but they can have their own seats as additional tickets are required.
In case of time limitation, visitors can choose to travel on short routes such as: Bach Dang Wharf (District 1) - Binh An Wharf (District 2), Bach Dang Wharf (District 1) - Thanh Da Wharf (Binh Thanh District).
