On 7 April, Con Dao Port continued to receive the Superdong Con Dao I ship on the route of Tran De (Soc Trang Province) - Con Dao, welcoming more than 300 passengers to the port and taking 180 passengers to leave the wharf. When docking, passengers are transported by tram from the ship to the terminal, ensuring convenience for passengers.
Con Dao Port located in the center of Con Dao Island has 370m-long pier, connected to the wharf (50m long, 12m wide) that can receive passenger ships with a tonnage of up to 398 DWT.
The operation of new port creates favorable conditions for passengers on the journey from the mainland to Con Dao, shortening the distance by nearly 15km compared to Ben Dam Port to the center of Con Dao, while easing overload for Ben Dam port.
