Brandies cultural and tourism events to take place at the Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival 2023

(TITC) - Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival 2023 carrying the theme “Ninh Thuan - The land of convergence of different values” will take place from 13th to 18th June. In the framework of this event, there is the Ceremony of receiving UNESCO's Certificate of Inscription "Art of pottery-making of Chăm people on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding".

This is a traditional festival of Ninh Thuan Province held every 2 years for the purpose of building a unique, rich in identity brand of Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival, and honouring the cultural quintessence of the ethnic groups in the province.

Particularly, this year, the Grape and Wine Festival will be organised alongside with the Ceremony of receiving UNESCO's Certificate of Inscription " Art of pottery-making of Chăm people on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding". By receiving the certificate from UNESCO, the awareness and responsibility of people, levels, branches and localities in preserving and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage "The art of pottery making of the Cham people" will be highly raised.

The event holds an important goal to promote the image, country, people, natural landscape and specific products of Ninh Thuan, contributing to promoting tourism development of the province. Honouring the economic values that grapes bring to the locality, clarifying the typical difference of Ninh Thuan grapes; giving the opportunity to trade between grape growers, producers and consumers with products processed from grapes. Thereby, contributing to promote the potential, strength of Ninh Thuan Province in terms of agricultural economy, marine economy associated with culture and tourism, and prospects for sustainable development, attracting domestic and foreign economic sectors to invest in Ninh Thuan.

The Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival 2023 and the Ceremony of receiving UNESCO's Certificate of Inscription " Art of pottery-making of Chăm people on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding" will be held from 13th to 18th June. In which, the Opening Ceremony and the Ceremony of receiving UNESCO's Certificate will be held at 8pm on 16th June; The Closing Ceremony will be held at 8pm on 18th June at the 16th April Square - Monument in Phan Rang – Thap Cham City.

During the Festival time, a series of ebullient, unique and exciting cultural, sports and tourist activities, bearing the province's distinctive and strengths with 12 provincial-level activities will take place, including: Industry and Trade Fair of the South Central Region - Ninh Thuan 2023; Food Festival "Taste of Ninh Thuan Cuisine"; Street art performance show; Workshop on value development of vine and grape products; Workshop on preserving and promoting the value of "Cham pottery art"; Visit and experience vineyards, Bau Truc pottery village and the journey to discover Nui Chua World Biosphere Reserve; Beautiful grapevine trellis contest; Road bike race Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan; Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan expanded Off-road car - quad bike racing tournament on the sand; The 2nd Ninh Thuan Ethnic Culture Competition 2023.

Additionally, in districts and cities in the province take place many cultural, sports, tourism activities and events, such as: The traditional running race in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city; Ninh Son Fruit Festival; Raglai Cultural Festival; promotional activities, visit and experience Thai An vineyard; activities to promote and introduce craft villages and products of Bau Truc Cham pottery villages, My Nghiep brocade weaving; car racing on sand, sandboarding; exploring the landscape along the coastal route of Ninh Thuan Province…
