On Thursday, the Management Board of the Son Tra peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches cooperated with the Viet Nam Urban and Environment Magazine to launch the Environment Day themed "Da Nang sea is always clean and blue" with the participation of 500 volunteers who were university students citywide.

Within the framework of the opening programme of the "Da Nang Beach Tourism 2023', the event aimed to raise public awareness about environmental protection and plastic waste reduction, thereby encouraging locals and tourists to use environmentally friendly products when visiting local beaches.
During the programme, the Ambassadors of the Environment, actor Ly Hung, called on both locals and tourists to join hands with the municipal authorities to preserve the marine environment.
Representatives of the organisers presenting symbolic boards of gratitude houses to environmental workers in difficult circumstances.
Also at the event, the organisers donated two gratitude houses, worth VND100 million each, to poor sanitation workers.
The Viet Nam - Japan education system awarded the "Goby swallowing plastic waste" model to the management board and the model will be located at the Thanh Khe Beach.
