The entrants are encouraged to create free-style paintings, highlighting the value of tangible and intangible cultural heritages, and scenic landscapes across Vietnam. Entries can be painted with canvas, lacquer, acrylics, silk, or graphic paintings.

The contest aims to create an opportunity for young people to show their art skills and creativity while raising their awareness of preserving and promoting Vietnamese traditional culture.

One grand prize, together with one first, two second, three third, and 20 consolation prizes, worth 960 million VND, will be presented to be best entries at an award ceremony scheduled in November this year.

The organising board will also select 100 outstanding entries to display at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi.
