(TITC) - On 27th May, at Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area (Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District), the People Committee of Ninh Binh Province organised the Opening ceremony of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 with the theme “The Golden Tam Coc - Trang An”. The Opening Ceremony took place in a colorful natural space with impressive art performances on the grand stage of the majestic Tam Coc rice fields in the golden season.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee said, Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 takes place with many cultural art activities, and unique and impressive tourism products with its own characteristics. The remarkable global values of geology, geomorphology, landscape, aesthetics, history and culture of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage of Trang An Landscape Complex, along with friendliness and hospitality of the locals, Ninh Binh Tourism Week is one of the important tourism activities taking place annually.
The Festival effectively introduces the unique tourism identity and value of Tam Coc and provides an opportunity to promote culture and tourism with domestic and international friends.

The Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 (taking place from 27th May to 4th June 2023) offers visitors with unique festival space of residents of wet rice farming in the Northern Delta; admiring the 9.500m2-rice field, shaping in the picture "Ly Ngu Vong Nguyet", also known as the painting "Carp watching the moon". Additionally, there are other special activities to enjoy such as the night market, Hoa Lu old town, taking pictures of Tam Coc's golden season; the display and introduction of cultural vestiges of the Tran Dynasty in Trang An Heritage site; Enjoy water puppet shows, Cheo singing, Xam singing and unique folk songs of 3 regions (North, Central, and South) on the boat trip to visit Tam Coc fields.

In the framework of the event, there are cultural and artistic exchange activities between villages, hamlets and clubs in the province in the evenings to honor intangible cultural values.
According to the Department of Tourism of Ninh Binh Province, the occupancy rate of local rooms on this occasion reached 85-90%, higher than the same period last year. Ninh Binh Tourism Week "The Golden Tam Coc - Trang An" 2023 is expected to welcome more than 400,000 visitor arrivals, including 100,000 arrivals to Tam Coc.

Previously, from 25th to 27th May, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) coordinated with the Department of Tourism of Ninh Binh Province to organise a Fam trip inspecting new destinations and tourism products of Ninh Binh.
